Principal 5-8
Grades 5-8 Principal, Maria Lubamersky
Ms. Lubamersky has served as the Principal of Grades 5–8 and Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Ross since 2022. Maria holds a master’s degree in educational leadership, teaching credentials in Spanish and English, and has worked in education for more than 30 years, with all but two of those years spent working with middle school students.
Maria loves working with middle schoolers and believes students should be at the center of the learning process. She believes that strong relationships are the foundation for student engagement and learning. She strives to build a strong sense of community, create systems in which all students can thrive, and support teachers in doing their best work.
Maria lives in San Rafael with her husband, who is also an educator. Together, they raised three boys, two of whom have followed in their footsteps and pursued careers in education. When she’s not at school, Maria enjoys traveling, reading, going to the movies, and spending time with family and friends.
